Last Year's Results

THANKS FOR JOINING US THIS YEAR AT THE NASA CLASSIC!
Sorry about the lightning and storms!

TROPHIES - If your team did not receive their trophies due to the weather or being in a 5-team divsion, please have the team manager send me an email with the number of Champion or Finalist trophies and the name & address of the contact person.  Or if you are short trophies, please let me know.  Thank you for your help.  Ellen.Smith@nasa-ga.org

Thanks to all of the teams who came to play in the Classic this year.  We had a day and a half of HOT, HOT weather and then just in time for the finals, the storms came to many of our venues.  We appreciate the teams in the finals being patient and understanding about any changes to their finals.  We know that the goal is for the teams to be on the field playing, and unfortunately not all of the games could be completed or even started.  The weather cannot be controlled, but we thank everyone for hanging in there and working with the site directors at each venue to work out a solution to each individual final game.

On a side note, some of the scores are not entered due to the storms and scrambling to resolve all of the weather related issues.  Several of the final games were not played and the result is based on points.  Other scores will be updated as soon as we can verify the scores from these games.

SPECIAL FEATURES

There are some special features this weekend!  Please check out some of the vendors at United Quest Park and Noonday Park.

WEATHER UPDATES
FIELDS ARE ALL OPEN AT 6:00 AM SUNDAY
There will be mandatory water breaks if the temperature exceeds 85 degrees.  IF the temperature reaches the high 90s there will most likely be a 2nd water break per half.  Please have your players come to the games with LOTS of water!

In case of lightning, the teams will be asked to go to their cars or a permanent structure.  Please respect the instructions of the referees and site personnel if there is lightning at your venue.

Please be aware that schedules could be modified this afternoon if there are thunderstorms at your venue!  We’ll do all we can to ensure that the games are played, but lightning WILL keep teams off the field until it has been 20 minutes since the last strike!
