May 28 -  Thank you to all of the teams that participated this weekend! 

The scores are all updated, and the games have been played.  Now the lost and found items can be claimed - they are in the clubhouses at each park.  For contact information you can go to the NASA website with phone numbers and addresses:  www.nasa-ga.org but please wait until Tuesday! 

There are still a few Youth Medium t-shirts available if anyone is interested - please email
TournamentDirector@nasa-ga.org if you would like one.

If you are a U10 team, did not advance to the finals and did NOT pick up your medals, please contact TournamentDirector@nasa-ga.org and we will get them to you.  Also, for those 5 team divisions that the teams did not receive their trophies, we will make arrangements to get them to you!

May 25, 2007 - Last minute info was sent out with reminders via email.  Remember that check in is at United Quest Park if you play there or at Noonday, and at Metro North Park if you play there - try to come between 1/2 - 1 hour before your first game on Saturday.  U10 coaches - remember to pick up your participation medals if your team does not advance to the final round.  Please  practice good sportsmanship  on and off the fields and be kind to the referees!!

SCHEDULES POSTED!  Please note the following information:

  NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE AFTER TUESDAY AT 6 PM, (except if determined by the tournament committee that a change was necessary in extreme circumstances or the field had to be changed.)

 REMEMBER**** Please be sure to check the schedules periodically to check for any last minute changes.  The info will be posted on the front page if there are any changes in your age group & division, and then reflected on the actual schedule.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Canterbury Cup 2007 - Registration is open for available space only
WHAT
  • NASA’s Memorial Day Canterbury Cup
  • Great way to wrap up your spring season!
  • Each participating team will play a minimum of three games
  • Finalists and Champions will receive awards
  • U9/10 teams not advancing to the championship round will receive participation awards
 
WHERE
  • North Metro Atlanta Area
  • United Quest Park
  • Noonday Park
  • Metro North Park
 
WHEN
  • The Tournament is held on the weekend of May 26 & 27
  • Team Registration/Check-in is at least one hour before your first game. 
  • Games being played at Metro North Park check in at the clubhouse at Metro North Park.
  • Games being played at United Quest and Noonday Park check in at the United Quest Park clubhouse.
 
WHO
  • Select and Recreational boys and girls teams from all over Georgia and the Southeast
  • USYSA Travel rules will apply
  • The maximum number of players on any team shall be 18 (U12 and above playing 11 per side)
  • The maximum number of players on a U9/10 Academy team will be 12 (will play 6-side)
  • The maximum number of players on a U11 Academy team shall be 14 (will play 8-side)
  • The maximum number of guest players shall be three or U9/10 – U11; and four for U12-U19
  • No player may play for more than one team
 
 
 
AGE GROUPS
  • U9/10 (8/1/97), U11 (8/1/95),U12 (8/1/94),U13 (8/1/93), U14 (8/1/92), U15 (8/1/91), U16 (8/1/90), U17 (8/1/89), U19 (8/1/87)
 
PLAYER DOCUMENTATION
  • At registration/check-in, teams must present validated State player passes, as well as parental medical release forms for all players participating in the NASA Canterbury Cup.   If player passes are not available for recreational players, birth certificates will be accepted. Out of state teams must also have an approved Permission to Travel form or in Region III, the Intent to Travel letter.
  • Copies of all forms for the Canterbury Cup are available at our Forms Page  
 
HOW
  • The primary means of communicating and handling administrative items will be via this web site. 
  • Entry fees and payment for T-shirt orders will still be checks via the mail or credit card payments.
  • Applications will again be taken via an on-line registration only.
 
ENTRANCE FEES
  • Entry fees for the 2007 Canterbury Cup are:
  • $425 for U12-U19 teams
  • $350 for U11  Academy teams 
  • $300 for U9/10 Academy teams
  • Entry Fees must be received by the tournament within 10 days following the submission of the on-line application.
 
ACCEPTANCE
  • Tournament Application Deadline is May 7, 2007   - NEW DEADLINE - MAY 11
  • Notification of acceptance will be posted to the web site in early May and via emails to the team managers and coaches. 
 
TRAVEL
  • Special rates at local hotels are arranged through the hotels listed on the website.
  • Teams are encouraged to support the tournament and development of our soccer complex by booking reservations at area hotels
